*Frame is constructed of knotty Cypress. This wood is very prevalent in the higher altitudes of Costa Rica. It was planted in our Costa Rican area 90 years ago by German settlers. It actually is not good for the local environment. It is being transplanted with native trees. The back-section of the frame is heavily scorched with flame. A light treatment of epoxy resins was applied then a heavy coating of hard varnish. The front section is a composite of a twisted Cherry Wood tree.

*Frame is constructed of strips of Guaria bamboo native to Costa Rica’s Pacific Zone. The strips making up the back-section were ground flat and laminated for the width. The tooth trim on the outer edges is the interior of the bamboo. The front-section is bamboo as well. The entire frame has a thick coating of epoxy varnish normally used for wood flooring. It is extra tuff.

How to Read Product Numbers

Instead of naming our Wall Hangings we have given them identification numbers. Here is an example:

#M801 with Giclle #241

* M is the size – M-edium, L-arge, X-large

* 801 is the number of the Wall Hanging.

* #241 is the particular Giclee in combination with this particular Wall Hanging.

Most of our wall hanging frames are constructed in two sections placed on top of each other. In the short descriptions above, I refer to these as the “back-section” and the “front-trim-section”.
