LONDON. – A
remarkable sketchbook containing over 80 stunning watercolours by Count
Amadeo Preziosi, who left Malta to spend his life in Constantinople
(Istanbul), is one of the highlights of Bonhams next Travel and
Exploration Sale on 16th  September in New Bond Street. The
sketchbook taken on a Grand Tour of Europe in 1875 by the watercolour
artist, Count Amadeo Preziosi (1816-1882), self-titled ‘Souvenir de mon
dernier voyage’ is estimated to sell for £320,000-500,000. The book
provides a brilliant insight into a lost world, one that our forbears
inhabited just 135 years ago, but a world utterly transformed.

MADRID (AFP) – Famous French painter Henri Matisse, master of fauvism
and colour, also produced a number of more intimate works between 1917 and 1947,
which are the subject of a new exhibition at Madrid’s Thyssen-Bornemisza
Museum.The 70 paintings, drawings and sculptures depict odalisques or
scenes through windows with a view on the sea, many of them done in the southern
French city of Nice, where he moved in 1917. The Thyssen Matisse
exhibition is open from June 9th to September 20th, 2009.

This Giclee image is very exciting for me. The morning I found these creatures in the grass and flowers was a beautiful thing. Something so simple as this can turn a day into something to remember. I am certain that the small things in life are the most precious.

This Giclee print was created in early May of 2009. This is the reflective light view. By reflective I refer to the light coming from the direction of the observer and being reflected back to him.

This is the SYMMETRICAL view. This refers to the viewer receiving the light directly from the back of the canvas, traveling threw it and landing directly in the observers eye.

This spider is only one centimeter long in real life. The 2.5 x 1.5 meter Giclee canvas in real life is very detailed. I wish you could see it.
